1. Overview
RacketMaps is a community-driven platform. Users can submit reviews, photos, club listings, court details, and corrections. This policy explains how we handle user-generated content (UGC).
2. Auto-Publication
All user submissions are published automatically without pre-approval. This includes:
- Club reviews and ratings
- New club listings
- Court information and corrections
- Club edit suggestions
We use automated abuse prevention (rate limiting, fingerprinting, bot detection) to filter malicious submissions at the time of submission.
3. Post-Publication Moderation
RacketMaps administrators review published content on an ongoing basis. We may remove content that:
- Contains spam, advertising, or promotional material unrelated to the club.
- Is false, misleading, or fabricated (fake reviews).
- Contains hate speech, discrimination, threats, or harassment.
- Includes personal information of third parties (phone numbers, addresses, full names).
- Contains obscene, violent, or sexually explicit material.
- Violates copyright or intellectual property rights.
- Is a duplicate submission.
- Is otherwise inappropriate or violates our Terms of Service.
4. Abuse Prevention
We employ the following automated measures:
- Rate limiting: Users cannot submit more than a defined number of reviews, suggestions, or photos within a time window.
- One review per club: Each unique user (identified by anonymous fingerprint) may submit one review per club.
- Bot detection: Requests with empty or known-bot user agents are rejected.
- CAPTCHA: May be triggered for suspicious activity patterns.
5. Reporting Content
If you encounter content that violates this policy, you can:
- Use the "Report" button on any club popup to flag problematic content.
- Email moderation@racketmaps.com with the club name and a description of the issue.
We aim to review all reports within 48 hours.
6. Content Removal Process
- A report is received (via the Report button, email, or admin review).
- A moderator reviews the flagged content against this policy.
- If the content violates our guidelines, it is removed immediately.
- Repeated offenders (identified by fingerprint) may be banned from submitting further content.
7. Club Owner Rights
Verified club owners (who have claimed their listing) may:
- Request removal of factually incorrect information about their club.
- Update their club's official details (name, contact, amenities).
Club owners cannot remove genuine user reviews solely because they are negative. Reviews are only removed if they violate the content guidelines above.
8. Photo Guidelines
Photos submitted to RacketMaps must:
- Be relevant to the club or court (facilities, courts, amenities).
- Not contain identifiable faces of individuals without their consent.
- Not contain watermarks, logos, or promotional overlays.
- Be original or licensed for public use.
9. Appeals
If your content was removed and you believe this was an error, email moderation@racketmaps.com with details. We will review appeals within 7 business days.
